Levi Hospital has offered specialized health care since 1914.  Levi provides inpatient rehabilitation services and outpatient rehabilitation at the Prospect location. These programs aid patients in recovery from strokes, surgery, accidents, and sports-related injuries while helping to ease symptoms of various diseases.  Levi Hospice provides alternative care for the terminally ill and their families. Levi helps provide day respite care at The Caring Place at First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.  Levi’s psychiatric programs include an outpatient treatment center for adults, seniors, psychiatric consulting in area nursing homes and inpatient treatment in Levi’s specialized unit.  Levi also offers out patient child/adolescent psychiatry and provides school based therapy services in area schools. Levi Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is a Medicare/Medicaid approved provider.

Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center Hospital is a 72 bed, non-profit hospital affiliated with the University of Arkansas Medical System. The center has specialized in rehabilitation since 1960.  The hospital is licensed by the state and CARF accredited.   Patients come from all over the state of Arkansas for treatment of injuries and illness involving the spinal cord, brain, stroke, and various orthopedic injuries.  The hospital offers complete inpatient and outpatient services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, recreational therapy, psychological services, and acupuncture.  Special spinal cord and brain injury programs are also offered.  The hospital functions on a team basis, whereby the patient and his/her family interfaces with a team of professionals which includes the physician, nurse, therapist, and social worker.

The Health Department provides vital health services including:  immunizations, tuberculosis screening and treatment, sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment, hepatitis surveillance, and health cards.  Maternal and child health services include well-child exams, pregnancy testing, family planning, and WIC. Environmental health services and inspections are also administered.  In home services include:  home health, personal care, hospice, and targeted case management.

GOOD MOMS PROGRAM

            One of the advantages of raising a family today is the greater awareness most couples have of the entire birthing process.  As the ability to communicate and seek out information increases, expectant couples have more opportunities receive answers to questions and concerns.  NationalParkMedicalCenter is proud to offer a new program especially designed to provide guidance  for the soon to be parents. Good Moms is a membership program for expectant parents that provides a monthly newsletter with helpful tips and information.  Beginning with the first trimester, educational materials on body changes and how the baby is developing are provided.  After your baby is born, follow-up newsletters are provided to help parents through the first few weeks. 

           Good Moms is just another way that National Park Medical Center can help women feel more confident about the delivery process and becoming a mother,” said Brooke Pryor, Marketing Coordinator for NPMC. “This program, along with community classes provided for new mothers helps, answer questions that new mothers may have.”

           The Good Moms program is designed to be your comprehensive healthcare resource to assist throughout your pregnancy.   The program informs new mothers about the facilities available at National Park Medical Center, the extensive knowledge of the physician staff and specially trained nurses and information about a woman’s changing body.  

            Membership in Good Moms is free to all expectant women.  To join, women should ask their obstetrician for a brochure or call (501)620-2705 to register. All classes are held on Saturdays at 2:00pm and will last approximately 4 hours.   The class only lasts one day.  The Childbirth classes are taught by Joyce VerWey of Physician's for Women and are held in the Fordyce room at NPMC.
