Buena Vista is a really unique setting located on Aberina Drive, offering sweeping views across the beautiful Lake Hamilton. This complex was originally built in 1945 and started as a resort with a hotel building near the pool and several two-story cottages along the water. It offered the perfect little getaway tucked away in the woods, just off the main street (Central Avenue) that ran through the city. There was also a huge swimming pool, a restaurant, outdoor grills, a boat ramp, and covered boat docks.
As time passed, the resort was sold and turned into a condominium complex with a managing Property Owners Association (POA). Around 2006, more two-story condominiums were built along the upper part of the property while keeping a similar exterior look, but offering modern interior features.
Today, this large community is a cool place for vacation home owners and investors as it offers the charm of the 1945 era with the cottage-style buildings that's very quaint along with a a view to die for! It offers abundant green space, a huge swimming pool, a cabana with outdoor grill & picnic tables, a clubhouse with kitchen, dining tables, ping-pong table & uncovered deck, a boat ramp, and some units come with a covered boat slip.
The prices for these units are very reasonable. The units in Phase One that were built around 1945 offer 1-3 bedroom units with about 435 - 1215 square feet of living space, and vary in price depending on size, view and if it includes a boat dock. There are 59 units in this phase. The address for this phase is 210 Aberina.
Phase Two includes 10 two-story units, all with two bedrooms, two baths, and double garages with 1048 square feet of living space. These units do not have boat slips, however, you may be able to lease a boat slip from one of the other owners. The address for this phase is 208 Aberina.
Rarely, will you find a lake condo with panoramic views on Lake Hamilton for these modest prices. Panoramic views and cottage-style living is the trademark here. Along with the great price, you can also earn some additional cash when you're not using it. The POA does not restrict nightly rentals here.
Below is a tour of one of the of units in Phase I which will give you a depiction of the interior and the grounds.
